Errors Improve Businesses: Turning Pepper Losses into Opportunity
Errors Improve Businesses
This evening, I had a quiet prompting—to take some of our dried habaneros for grinding.
I did.
Truthfully, I had doubts.
Those doubts were shaped by the difficult chapter that followed this particular pepper production cycle.
We faced low prices.
Low production volumes.
And most painfully, intense pest and disease pressure.
By November, the decision was clear: we harvested every remaining pepper and dried them all.
What followed surprised me.
Today, while grinding the peppers, everyone who walked past began sneezing. The aroma was unmistakable.
The peppers were:
Deeply flavourful
Exceptionally hot
Even I, doing the grinding, was not spared.
In that moment, it became clear—we had not failed. We had transformed.
Now, I have a product my immediate community genuinely appreciates.
The next step is movement.
Grassroots distribution.
Churches.
Family circles.
Friends of friends.
This is no longer just recovery—it is positioning.
I have a huge project ahead.
And I intend to make it count.
From ashes, I will rise.
Farmily Field Farms
It all starts from the farm.
